About Dr. Ali Akhlaghi
Dr. Ali Akhlaghi brings over a decade of experience and a calm, compassionate approach to Blossom Dentistry. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia (UVA) in Charlottesville, VA, and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA) in 2009. His strong educational background and commitment to excellence form the foundation of his patient-centered approach.
As a proud member of the American Dental Association and the DC Dental Society, Dr. Ali stays current with the latest advancements in dentistry by regularly attending continuing education courses. This allows him to incorporate modern, innovative techniques into his care.
Dr. Ali provides a comprehensive range of dental services, including dental implant placement, bone grafts, crowns, bridges, tooth-colored fillings, veneers, teeth cleanings, teeth whitening, bonding, extractions, and emergency dental care. Dr. Ali and everyone else at blossom were great! Everyone was thorough and communicative, especially about the cost of various procedures. Before moving forward with any scans or X-rays, they gave me a detailed breakdown of what would and would not be covered by my insurance. Seems like a given, but unfortunately hasn’t been my experience everywhere. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ali and Blossom to others!

Very kind humans working at Blossom! Helped me get to the root of my problem, quite literally as I have a cavity in the root of my tooth! Very excited to continue to go to them for future help!
I also want to note that I am a Trans man and they were wonderful with calling me by my correct names and pronouns (this is a huge fear with new doctors but they took away all that fear immediately!)
Would and will absolutely recommend!
