“I received personal and friendly treatment. Will definitely use Dr. Kumfer for all my dental needs. There was no wait time as a new patient. I was taken back to a room as soon as I finished my new patient paperwork. Exceptional staff and very, very friendly. No problems with payment, my credit card was accepted. Dr. Kumfer actually checked me out at the end of my appointment and he personally rescheduled my next appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Kumfer. ”

About Dr. Chris Kumfer

Dr. Kumfer received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2012. Dr. Kumfer is a current member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society; Indiana Dental Association; American Dental Association; Chicago District Dental Society Associate Member; and the IDA/IUSD Academy of Continuing Education. Dr. Kumfer has a strong belief in keeping current on new techniques and procedures with continuing education courses focused on caries prevention, nutrition, smile esthetics, oral sedation, and endodontics.
While not at Kumfer Family Dental, Dr. Kumfer works 3 days a week at a family dental practice in Avon, Indiana.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kumfer enjoys spending time with his wife, Brandy, and son, Oliver. Dr. Kumfer likes to stay active with CrossFit, basketball, running and volleyball.

This was my first visit with Dr. Chris Kumfer. I broke a tooth, and I am new to the area. The entire staff was very professional, and adhered to all the Covid-19 restrictions, which put me at ease. Dr. Kumfer answered all my questions, and once my root canal is completed, I will book a cleaning. I have found my new Dental home.

Dr. Kumfer and his staff were warm and welcoming to me as a new patient and created a very comfortable environment. The dental hygienist walked me through each step in my X-rays and cleaning and then Dr. Kumfer quickly took a look at my teeth and made sure I didn’t have any questions. They even had the Great British Baking Show playing while I got my teeth cleaned. I loved it!

I am so pleased with my visit to Dr. Kumfer. The office staff were amazing, kind, and informative. His office manager actually called me the day of and let me know of a cancellation if I wanted to come in earlier. Dr. Kumfer answered all of questions, made sure I was comfortable, and was more thorough than other dentists I have seen before. He took care of all the issues I had in one visit instead of having me come in for extra visits. I really appreciated my visit and am thankful to have found such a great dentist.

I went to Dr. Kumfer for the first time in almost in a panic with a broken tooth. Dr. Kumfer and his team were very patient, kind, and very considerate of me, and helped me calm down. They got me in the first appointment that was available for the next business day as my tooth broke at night. He gave me true estimate of the fees and expenses and potential insurance coverage, along with time to review options and correct insights of what was recommended soon vs what could be "watched" closely. I never felt any pressure into any sales of any other products or services.
Courtney at the front desk was very prompt in making appointments and took care of my specific needs for only certain hours that I had availability for, and accommodated my needs.
My first dental experience was excellent. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the session. Jamie, his assistant was very caring and gentle in her work and approach. Professionally they had great bedside manners and work was thorough.
I think I have found our family dentist for years to come.

This was my first visit for treatment after the initial consultation. Dr. Kumfer made me feel at ease although I was nervous initially. The office staff was very patient, kind and courteous and respectful of my presence.
Dr. Kumfer is our family dentist from here on and hopefully for years to come.

I am certainly not known for frequenting the dentist but in this instance, I had an emergency in which avoiding the dentist was not an option. Dr. Kumfer and his staff made me feel so at ease and comfortable! I will definitely be heading back really soon on a more regular basis!

Dr. Kumfer and his assistant (Julie, I think) were both incredibly friendly and helpful. I had an appointment for a cleaning, but Dr. Kumfer found that one of my fillings was cracked, and he managed to replace it in the same appointment. Saved me time and money! Will recommend to others.
