I'm still getting the tooth treated, and my root canal was done by another office that Dr Levin referred me to, but the staff at his office made me feel so much more comfortable being able to get this done. I definitely recommend this dentist and dental office for those who are highly anxious!”

For more than 30 years, Harvey M. Levin, DDS, has served Washington, DC, and the surrounding communities in Maryland and Virginia with top-quality general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Levin earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University and also studied pharmacy at Columbia University. Along with our team, he looks forward to helping you achieve an ideal state of dental health and a truly beautiful smile.
Dr. Levin was voted “Top Dentist” by his peers in Washingtonian Magazine since 1985. He is considered a master in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry and serves as the quarterback for treatment involving his patients and dental specialists.
Dr. Levin grew up in Brooklyn, NY, not far from Ebbets Field. He currently resides in Bethesda, MD. He and his wife, Faye, have four children—Robin, Beth, Lexi, and Adam—and four beautiful and very talkative grandchildren: Asher, Max, Andi, and Sophie. When he’s not in the office, you can find Dr. Levin hitting a ball on the tennis court, sitting on the beach, reading a great new book, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Dr. Harvey and his hygienist team are super profesional friendly and efficient. They don’t try to sell you on things you don’t need and are very clear with their communication. You can tell that DR Harvey is an absolute PRO and has been doing this for a long time.

Front office staff were very pleasant and I was seen shortly after I arrive for my appointment. My teeth cleaning was great and Dr. Levin was very timely with coming in to check on me and run through my x-rays. He did a very thorough check and I was quickly on my way!

Everything about my experience was fantastic! The dental hygienist, Zain, was thorough, patient, and kind. She did an amazing cleaning, x-ray, and mouth cancer screening. Dr.Levin was warm, took the time to explain everything, and thorough checking every tooth. I felt in very professional and experienced hands. The front desk was responsive and thoughtfully checked insurance coverage. All communication was clear. Highly recommend!

Dr. Harvey and staff were amazing. As a neurodivergent individual person, I had very traumatic experiences with dentists given sensory issues. Dr. Harvey explained what he was doing to do every step of the way, and made the process very autism-friendly.

Everything was pretty promising and the doctor was helpful/knowledgeable but there was too much unnecessary touching for my taste. Nothing sexual, I just do not like being touched (shoulder grabs and pokes) other than that, decent visit.

Had a great experience here as a first time patient. They were able to accommodate me on short notice and refer me to the right specialists. Everyone in the office was so polite and helpful, and Dr. Levins made me feel at ease.

But know that it’s not a “no shame for your past neglect, we’re here to move forward” place.
I was repeatedly asked by the hygienist and dentist why I hadn’t gotten a cleaning in so long and shamed for my neglect. And asked again why I hadn’t gotten cleanings more regularly. As far as I could tell, nothing I said would have changed their treatment plan for me.
If you can’t handle being on the defensive, don’t want to share the personal details of your life that prevented you from prioritizing dental cleanings, or get embarrassed about having to explain your past mistakes, get your thick skin ready.

I had a delightful experience with Dr. Levin and my hygienist Zain. Their chair-side manner was great. I had a solid cleaning and a thorough consultation to help me understand the next steps. They both took extra time with me to insure that I had a full understanding and entertained questions. I was impressed that Dr. Levin will work closely with my periodontist to maximize the schedule of care that I will need going forward.
