About Dr. Ivory Hancock
Dr. Ivory Hancock, CEO of Ivory Dental Centre, shapes her patients’ smiles with extraordinary passion, built on a wealth of experience in the dental field. Upon graduating, she pursued her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Temple University’s School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. After completing her residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, she furthered her training as Chief Resident. An avid proponent of continuing education and perfecting her craft, she then advanced her skills in cosmetic restorative dentistry at the prestigious Rosenthal Institute at New York University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Hancock’s commitment to patient care is reflected in the stellar personal recommendations she receives. While her superior credentials are impressive, it is her warm personality and wit that keep her patients coming back. She strives to build relationships with her patients on a more personal level. Known not only for her clinical skills but also for her calming nature, Dr. Hancock creates a welcoming environment for all who visit her practice.
Outside her successful practice, Ivory dedicates herself to bettering her community and making an impact in the world around her. She participates in various mentoring programs, offering advice, education, and empowerment to women in business. She is also a strong supporter of youth programs, specifically focusing on the importance of dental hygiene—she plans to publish a children’s book on the subject this year. An enthusiastic world traveler, she combines these passions by addressing dental needs in developing countries. In early 2013, she planned a documentary chronicling her medical mission to Ethiopia.

I will definitely be going back to Ivory Dental. The dental assistants and Dr. Hancock provided me with one of the most thorough examinations I've ever had in 30 years. I've never had someone so closely look at my jaw/grinding, gums, checked for oral cancer, and so much more. When I left, I felt as though I understood the next steps beyond just another appointment in a few months. The facilities were clean and beautiful. I was quickly seen and felt at ease.

The staff, hygienists, and doctors are all warm, open, and kind, while the office is clean and inviting. I will definitely be coming back and cannot wait for my next visit. Everyone was warm and fuzzy, super accommodating and helped ease my anxiety. The decor of the office is simply marvelous, you can tell a lot of thought was put into it. The doctor and assistants explained everything to me while it was happening so i could better understand the procedure.

I was in search of a new dentist since I was displeased with the last one. I was excited to find a new one in DC. The office is divine. The staff are friend ly and personable. I'm grateful that I went to Dr. Flamer because she informed me that I have gingivitis and I had no idea how bad it was especially since my previous dentist didn't mention it. Additionally she still does fluoride treatments to protect the enamel of your teeth. I haven't received flouride in years due to misinformation. I'm thrilled I found a new dentist that is committed to quality care of my teeth to make them last for years to come.

Great staff, office environment, equipment is top of the line and advanced.
I had a wait time, but I don’t believe that is the norm and the staff were very communicative, friendly, and did their best in ensuring I was seen as soon as possible. I received something as well to for the time. Overall highly recommend!

Amazing office! Professional and polite staff!
First time in my life I have to a dentist that wasn't trying to upsell procedures. It was so refreshing and so appreciated. They were thorough in their examination and so patient with the explanation of the treatment plan. I am so thankful and will be a patient for as long as I can. I highly recommend.

I recently moved to the DC area & was in need of a dental cleaning; I'm so glad that I chose Ivory!
The staff is incredibly friendly, the office is beautiful & the service is exceptional. I went in for a simple cleaning and left with a complete treatment plan to address other improvements I wanted to make with my smile (keep in mind, this was my first visit!). Dr. Olga Spivak is an incredible dentist and Sophia is always personable and accomodating when booking my appointments. I have since referred several of my friends to Ivory & am so excited to continue my dental journey with an office that I LOVE!

I love Ivory Dental!! It is such a beautiful office, the coffee they serve is better than Starbucks and my treatment was swift, painless and excellent! People stop me on the street and ask me how my teeth are so straight and white- Dr. Hancock!!! This is a one stop shop for great treatments and execellent service!!!

I've been with Dr. Hancock, Kelly, Diana, Jessie and the entire Presidential Group for number of years as they continue to be professional, personable, understanding and patient with those of us who abhor the dentist! Otherwise, I would not travel from the suburbs, brave the antics of the Metro on any given day to put my oral health in their capable hands. As long as they maintain their level of professionalism... I'll keep coming.

The office is very nice and the cleaning seems thorough. I do feel like they were always trying up-sell me into adding on extra things that weren't necessary (mouth guard, whitening, etc.) I now go to a new dentist and they haven't suggested anything.
