Dr. Tae Sung John Ku is a licensed dentist in District of Columbia and Virginia. The email and text communications prior to the visit were confusing and not clear on what was needed, and some were poorly written with typos. The person who called me to confirm the visit seemed confused when calling me. Prior to the visit, you have to fill out a lengthy questionnaire essentially self-diagnosing yourself, which I’ve never had to do elsewhere, certainly not to this degree, and it felt uncomfortable making judgments about my own dental health when that is why I’m going to a professional. The office itself was nice enough and they have a cute dog that stays at the office, but they seemed to be pushing expensive treatments without good explanations and I found Dr. Ku’s bedside manner to be a bit lacking. The technology was good.

Dr. Ku is a gem! I'm so happy to have found him. Everyone in the office is professional, kind and competent. I appreciate Dr. Ku's candid advice and the patience with which he answers all questions, as well as his willingness to consider alternative scenarios or treatments at the behest of the patient. I also appreciate the office's flexibility - they were able to squeeze me in once on a very short notice when I had a small emergency. I turned my husband into a loyal patient as well, and I intend to bring my parents in the future.

Since moving into the DMV area, I've been seen by Dr. Ku. I must say I've dealt with my fair share of dentists, and Dr. Ku has been great. He's got excellent bedside manner and is very professional. After a bad experience at another dental office, Dr. Ku reassured me and agreed to take on my complicated case. Although I had painful procedures done, him and his staff ensured I was comfortable and safe throughout the entire time. Also, Helga at the front desk is kind, resourceful, and I enjoy going to the office because of her and Dr. Ku. They are very efficient, and seem to have the most up date technology in dentistry. I highly recommend him and his team!

I was referred to this practice by a good friend, and I had a great experience as a new patient of Dr. Ku. The staff was well trained, and I was seen right away. My insurance incorrectly described my coverage to the office, but Dr. Ku's staff was quick to respond to me over email and we cleared everything up. I had a few questions for Dr. Ku when he saw me, and he was able to give me many options, pricing, and his professional opinion right away. Will definitely be going back!

Very professional, efficient, informative bedside manner. Office utilizes the height of dental tech -- seriously so impressed by how quick and painless the x-rays and cleaning were! Not to mention Dr. Ku did a fantastic job replacing some bonding on my front teeth and continued to communicate with me throughout the whole process to ensure I was happy and comfortable! I've been meaning to find a new dentist in the D.C. area for some time now, and I'm so glad that I found Dr. Ku. He is very nice, professional and takes the time to listen and answer all of your questions. The office is really nice, his staff are very friendly and they also have an awesome therapy dog named Bali.

I recently moved to DC and used ZocDoc to find Dr. Ku. As with all of ZocDoc's previous recos, I wasn't disappointed. The office is extremely clean & new, with modern technology in dentistry (xrays, equipment, etc.). I had the first appointment of the day, so was seen immediately. I had a few fillings that Dr. Ku advised I replace, and since I had said I was hoping to use my insurance benefits before the end of the year, he re-filled those cavities right then and there. He and the technician, Kim, were very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I'l be back for sure!

Nice modern office and very good teeth cleaning - mostly pain-free. Also a huge plus - they have a service dog named Bali that you can play with at the end of the treatment. Really nice people and efficient, painless cleaning

John is by far the best dentist I have had. I have been always so afraid to see a dentist and I have been avoiding it for the longest time. John totaly changed my perceptions of a dentist visit and I have actually enjoyed it. First, the place is so nice and clean and it felt like a spa. John was so patient, gentle, professional and honest. He performed the cleaning so carefully that I barelly felt anything. He also made me a detailed treatment plan and explained everything going on with my teeth to make sure I get the best care. His staff are also so nice! He and his staff made sure I was comfortable through every single procedure multiple times. I will go back to see him soon and I can't wait to have all my dental problems solved! I highly recommend everyone to go see John if you ever need to see a dentist!

I had a pain in my tooth, and since I am new to the area, I was researching for dental offices and Dr. Ku has a high reputation for his skills. I took the risk and left the office 100% satisfied. Pain is gone, and the level of professionalism is top notch here. The office is beautiful, too! Can't wait to go back for my cleaning next month.
