About Alexa Mcghee

Alexa McGhee is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®) Dermatology with a passion for beautiful, healthy skin and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Alexa received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Diagnostics from the University of Delaware graduating with Honors, and went on to pursue her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Alexa was involved in research during her time at the University of Delaware and was part of a team that was published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. After graduating Alexa began her Physician Assistant career at New York Plastic Surgical Group where she assisted in a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries in the burn and critical care unit. There, she gained hands-on experience caring for her patients while assisting in both cosmetic and life-changing burn procedures. Alexa then transitioned into the dynamic field of dermatology where she would continue to have an immediate impact on patients' lives, restoring their confidence and capabilities, while pursuing her true passion for dermatology. She had the pleasure of completing a dermatology fellowship alongside Dr. Peter Saitta and Dr. Aurash Bina.
At SINY® Dermatology, Alexa specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions, from common skin issues to complex cases. She especially enjoys treating acne, eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. Alexa’s approach to patient care is rooted in empathy, thoroughness, and evidence-based practice. She fosters a collaborative environment where patients feel heard and involved in their treatment plans. Her ultimate goal is for each and every patient to feel happy, healthy, and confident in their own skin.
