About Dr. Alyssa Lloyd
Dr. Alyssa Lloyd is a native New Yorker. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where she received a full academic scholarship as a Bunton Waller Fellow. While an undergrad she became a member of the Delta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. After graduation, she spent time in New York City working as a college administrator. She decided to follow her passion and study chiropractic medicine. Dr. Lloyd is a graduate of Northeast College of Health Sciences, formerly New York Chiropractic College. She completed extensive training on highly complex cases during her internship through the Chiropractic Honors Program at the Miami VA Medical Center.
Dr. Lloyd became interested in the profession at the age of 16 when she was injured throwing shot put in a track and field event. She developed chronic low back pain and sought out multiple professionals for her condition. After finding a chiropractor she finally began to feel improved. She works to provide the same improvement for her patients on a daily basis.
As a note, the practice requires all patients booked on a Saturday or Sunday to provide a credit card for late cancellation or no show purposes. This policy applies to all patients regardless of where or how they have booked their appointment. Our staff will reach out to you for this information. This policy does not apply Monday-Friday. This was my first time going to a chiropractor, and I had (what I felt like were) some nontypical complaints. I was concerned that I was worrying over nothing, or seeing the wrong specialist, but my appointment with Dr. Lloyd was phenomenal. She is incredibly knowledgeable and down to earth, and I left feeling physically better and much more educated about how to take care of myself. Great experience all around.
