About Dr. Amy Armada

I believe that being a Pediatrician is truly magical. We make kids feel comfortable during exams, explain treatments, and ease anxieties, the magic of healing. With the perfect combination of compassion, understanding, patience, sympathy, empathy, and love we share and spread magic to every child. My medical degree is from Nova Southeastern University (graduating in 2000) and I completed residency at University of Florida in Jacksonville in 2004. When I adopted my 4yo son in 2018, I became even more empathic to parents. Max had such a large cleft lip and palate he was unable to speak. In the U.S. he had many surgeries. Now, he is thriving, completes 80,000 pc. Legos, 500+ puzzles, and is an amazing artist. Being in the hospital with Max multiple times opened my eyes to parents' perspectives in the exam room. I know how you truly feel. I love being a Pediatrician, kids make me smile, and I laugh with families. I feel like I am making a difference by making families feel better through knowledge and compassionate care. "You treat a disease: You win, you lose. The entire visit was very unprofessional and seemed unorganized. Constant interruptions from all of the staff members. Tiny lobby with not enough room for privacy among families and kids. My son had new concerns with his vision and the way it was handled made him cry. No empathy what’s so ever! The doctor was Way too casual and chaotic. Two hours was way too long for us to be there. Every single step from the first phone call to us leaving was unprofessional. I would not recommend this place.
