My name is Anastasia Burns, and I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for helping others identify and sustain joy and harmony in their lives. I hold a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University, as well as a Master's in Adult Health Nursing and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. My practice provides a holistic approach that incorporates my patients' unique cultural backgrounds, identities, and beliefs into their treatment plans. My practice ideology is centered around patient empowerment, where my role is primarily to guide and assist. I am rewarded by having the opportunity to create a safe space for my patients to feel heard and supported.

What should a new client know about working with you?
My practice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related conditions, and mood disorders for adults aged 18-64. Services are offered via telehealth, where patients receive a secure video session link. This practice primarily provides medication management and evaluations for psychiatric conditions. If you are not seeking an evaluation for presenting symptoms or are interested in medication management, this practice does not have the capacity to support your needs.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Upon your initial outreach, you will receive a response within 72 hours, with available times for an appointment. You will need to submit a photocopy of your photo identification and insurance card. You will also be asked to complete initial intake questionnaires. This will be sent to you via e-mail, along with a link for your telehealth appointment.
