About Dr. Andrea Baker
Andrea Baker, MD, earned her medical degree in 2019 at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). She remained there to complete the UTHealth OBGYN residency program in 2023 and stayed on as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Baker joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2025.
Inspired by her grandfather to become a physician, Dr. Baker provides comprehensive OB/GYN care, including annual well woman exams, cervical and breast cancer screening, contraceptive management, and care throughout pregnancy and beyond. She also treats patients for pap smear abnormalities, menstrual irregularities, vaginal discharge, menopause, and other concerns and is certified in the da Vinci Xi Surgical System for minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. Dr. Baker’s favorite aspect of patient care is having the privilege of connecting with patients and making a positive impact in their lives.
Dr. Baker focuses on listening, compassionate communication, and validating her patients’ concerns to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where trust and open communication are emphasized. Believing that every woman deserves to be heard, educated, and empowered to make decisions about her reproductive health, she takes a patient-centered and evidence-based approach, modifying each patient's care plan based on their priorities.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Baker most enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog, traveling, and exercising.
