About Dr. Andrew Hawkins
Undergraduate Education: University of Arizona; Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry; 2015. Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association; Georgia Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Residency trained in Ocular Disease. The reason I became an optometrist is: The feeling I got when I got my first pair of glasses in 2nd grade was unlike any other. That feeling got stronger when I started wearing contact lenses in high school, and the more and more I researched a career as an optometrist the more I realized what a good fit it was for me. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I love helping people see their best, and I take pride in customizing my patients’ vision to meet their needs, whatever that may be. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my wife and daughters. Swimming biking running!"
