About Dr. Anush Vasikaran
Dr. Anush Vasikaran is a highly experienced and respected gastroenterologist with a passion for providing his patients with the best possible care. Dr. Vasikaran is dedicated to helping his patients find relief from a wide range of gastrointestinal issues, from irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease to liver disease and colon cancer. He is specially trained in complex GI procedures including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR).
Dr. Vasikaran received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He completed both his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Louisiana State University Shreveport. He went on to complete an advanced endoscopy fellowship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at GI Associates where he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex pancreaticobiliary disorders. Dr. Vasikaran is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
In his practice, Dr. Vasikaran takes a patient-centered approach, working closely with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and concerns. I booked an appointment through Zocdoc for April 5th 2025 at 12:15 pm and when I got there the doors were locked and there was a construction worker there having a sandwich and he opened the door and said they are closed and that they aren’t open on the weekends only Monday through Friday. I don’t understand how I was able to book an appointment for today (04/05/25) and they weren’t even open. I wasted time and gas driving there, the parking is atrocious, it took me 30 mins to find parking, I still made it early to the appointment and they weren’t even open. VERY FRUSTRATING

It was about a 1 minute visit, with no physical exam or anything he kept recommending colonoscopy. I believe that if you’re suspecting anything you should make sure to do a physical exam before suggesting a whole procedure just to find out what’s going on. Definitely not going back.
