I was very nervous about getting an IUD inserted, but Dr. Tovo informed me of my options and the risks and benefits of each type of IUD. She calmly talked me through the whole procedure, which helped a lot with my nerves. I will be coming back in a month for my checkup!

Dr. Tovo was raised in Charleston, West Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. She obtained her medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. Dr. Tovo then came to Texas to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
She is board eligible for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Tovo has many interests in her field, including general obstetrics and gynecology, treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, basic infertility and high-risk obstetrics. She is proficient in minimally invasive surgery and offers in-office procedures. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Tino, and they welcomed their first child in July 2014. Outside of the office, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Really great doctor, super quick once you get in there. SO professional and made me feel comfortable. Like most young women, I hate this time every year. I was even 15 minutes late - I got lost, FYI it's in the Barrett Building - I still only waited like 15 minutes AND I was a new patient. I'm going to return here only in the future.

I was disappointed with my experience meeting Dr. Ashley Tovo. Initially I was looking forward to my appointment due to the many good reviews I had read. I waited over an hour to be seen for my initial new patient exam. I do not feel like she answered any of my questions. She seemed to be in a rush and did not ask many questions regarding my health or any concerns I had. My meeting with Dr.Ashley Tovo lasted no more than 15 minutes. I left the office feeling worse than I did when I arrived. I will be searching for a new OBGYN.

Dr. Tovo was great - can't say enough good things! She was very quick and efficient (I was in and out in about half an hour), but took time to talk through all my questions and my health. I wanted to discuss switching from the pill to the IUD, and she was so helpful and informative, making sure I had all the information I needed and was comfortable with everything. Her nurse was excellent, too - very warm, friendly and got me through the pre-work with no hassle!

Loved Dr. Tovo! She was very friendly and talked to me throughout the exam so I barely even noticed she was examining me. (also thought it was a plus that they could do my blood work in the office so I didn't have to go to a separate lab)

Awesome doctor! Talked to me informally before beginning the exam and made sure to give lots of opportunity for me to raise any concerns--- really important in an OB/GYN.
Receptionist was really friendly and the office seemed well organized. I arrived almost an hour early unintentionally and they had me seen almost immediately. I was out before my scheduled appointment time.
