What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? My passion in healthcare comes from meeting individuals where they are and helping them to achieve their goals. Every person is unique and special. You deserve to have your voice heard with compassion and respect. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? As a healthcare provider, I believe it is my responsibility to offer a listening ear and collaborate with you in making healthy life decisions and goals. Patient education is important to me because it gives us a chance to discuss your medical concerns in ways that make sense. Together, we can create a unique medical plan according to your needs and preferences. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? Being a military spouse, I’ve learned how to adapt to an ever changing environment. I know the struggles of working, going to school, and taking care of little ones all at the same time. After graduating from the University of Texas in Galveston, I gained experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, and mental health while serving underserved communities in North Carolina. I enjoy spending time painting, traveling, and learning about different cultures.

Ashley is the first provider with whom I felt fully seen and heard. She took the time to understand me, my family history, my various issues, but also my goals. She’s the first provider who clearly connected the dots of all my symptoms, and took the time to explain all treatment options. I have been hopping around to see different providers over the years, because I felt that none of them really took the time to listen or explain my options in the way that she has. Dr Ashley introduced herself and told a little bit about her credentials. She was very thorough with her exam, asked a lot of questions. Her communication was clear.
