Dr. Babatunde Akinyemi, fondly called Dr. Baba by his clients, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (across the lifespan) and family nurse practitioner. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Washburn University, his Master’s in Nursing from Chamberlain University, and his Bachelor’s degree from Stratford University. Dr. Baba offers a holistic, integrative, and comprehensive approach to psychiatric care that is exceptional. He is widely trained and caring, currently working with complex clients of all ages. He combines a foundation in integrative family practice with the use of standard and specialty testing, including genetics, to unearth the cause of illness and tailor personalized treatments to meet clients’ needs. He treats clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and drug addiction problems. Dr. Baba is committed to providing the exceptional care entrusted to him by patients and their families. He is caring, meticulous, and passionate about evidence-based care, patient education, and ensuring patients receive the best care to enhance speedy recovery. He is currently accepting new patients of all ages.

Dr. Akinyemi integrative approach links psychiatric with medical care and pharmacotherapy with psychotherapy to achieve best of care. In addition to traditional approaches, he combines variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, lifestyle counseling and health education. Dr. Akinyemi holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Stratford University, his master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Washburn University with specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (across the life span). He holds board certifications from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He possesses outstanding clinical skills that is enhanced by natural ability to build therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.
