About Dr. Bryan Jefferies
Dr. Jefferies was born and raised in Indiana, went to Cedarville University in Ohio where he chose to do his senior seminar on glaucoma, and then returned to Indiana to attend the Indiana University School of Medicine where he did research on glaucoma surgery.
Following medical school Dr. Jefferies completed his Transitional Year Residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA where he was the Resident Representative to the Graduate Medical Education Committee and the Resident Liaison to the Transitional Year Administration. This was followed by an ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he did educational presentations on eye trauma and the medical management of glaucoma as well as serving as chief resident in his final year.
After completing his ophthalmology training Dr. Jefferies practiced in the Atlanta area before a stint in Charlotte after which he decided that Atlanta was where he wanted to live, work and spend his life and subsequently returned to our area.
Dr. Jefferies participates in EyeCare America, a program that helps to provide eye care to those in need in the community. It is a part of The Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
In his free time Dr. Jefferies enjoys physical fitness, travel, vegetable gardening, photography, snow-skiing and live music. Dr. Jefferies welcomes new patients and looks forward to meeting you.
