About Dr. Catherine Ellis
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Ellis received her undergraduate degree at Presbyterian College where she played Division I Lacrosse. She received her medical education from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Carolina. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at East Carolina University/Vidant Medical Center.
While in residency, Dr. Ellis served on the ECU Physicians High Value Care and Quality Committee, the ECU Resident and Fellow Council, and the Vidant Medical Center Root Cause Analysis Charter. She also participated in the Brody School of Medicine Community Preceptor Program. At the completion of her residency, she received the 2021 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher Award.
In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving, hang gliding, traveling with her golden retriever Jack Sparrow, and is currently working towards her pilot license.

I've seen doctor Ellis around 4-5 times, she's an excellent diagnostician and was very helpful in addressing my underlying issues. I've had double knee replacement and apparently my implants are perfect but i was still in a lot of pain and very compromised. She looked beyond the hardware to the soft tissue issues. She is proactive and very knowledgeable about newer modalities and therapies. She's great!

First time at this office. Staff was friendly. Office was clean and organized. They do multiple exams in office, so you do not have to go to multiple places to due exams and waste time. Doctor Ellis was great. She took her time explaining everything, gave me options on a plan to fix my issue. Perfect bedside manner. She loves what she does and it is noticeable.

While waiting for her they did try to get me to get an xray before ever seeing her which i refused because that's crazy but once she came in she was helpful and clear about what she thought was wrong and like i suspected I didn't need an x ray
