About Dr. Christina Arellano
Dr. Arellano is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients and developing strong doctor-patient relationships. She encourages all of her patients to actively participate in their medical care and recognizes that each patient is unique. Serving the diverse communities of the Chicago area, Dr. Arellano is fluent in both English and Spanish.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Loyola University Chicago and went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Arellano is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Association of Family Practitioners as well as the American Medical Association.

After being asked for the purpose of my visit and explaining to the doctor why I was there she was unsympathetic. She also kept saying “well I don’t know what I asked that offended you”. I explained to the doctor that it was a sensitive topic for me amd I explained to her why I went to see her and why I needed the exam. She didn’t listen and kept repeating how all she did was ask we a question and did not know what why I was offended. Her questions did not offended me, her continued response of …offend you… is what began to bother me. She clearly had a patient that was sensitive to discussing their current state. A year ago I also visited and asked if she could add a couple more test to my blood work panel and seemed bothered by it then as well. After todays visit I didn’t end up getting an annual exam since it appeared to me that she was bothered with me and I didn’t feel comfortable with her performing such an invasive woman’s exam. Prescribed meds even before examining. NEVER AGAIN

We really liked Dr. Arellano. She explained everything very well and listened and answered all our questions. Unfortunately, she will be relocating to Riverside in June so we will be unable to continue to see her as that is too far away.
