It seems first appointments always include an X-ray which needs to be taken into account when considering appointment time. Patients should be notified of this when making the appointment and the X-ray should be ordered for the given appointment time not first being ordered a half hour later and then waiting an hour for the X-ray before even being seen by the doctor.

The Doctor was great his staff giggled because I request a pregnancy test because I could no sign a form stating that I wasn't. As if being 52 stops a woman from being pregnant. I heard the staff giggling. Young people treat woman this way. Otherwise, the doctor was great.

i was given a cortisone shot in my left knee which was a painful procedure. i spoke to several people about their experience with this procedure. they experienced no pain after being given a cold numbing spray which was neither cold or numbing to me i doubt i would allow dr unis to give me the shot again

Dr. Unis was thorough, patient, and clearly knowledgeable. Was seen very promptly for my xrays and then right to him. Had my forms filled out ahead of time, so that probably helped. Clean, bright office. Good location in Brooklyn Heights. Near trains. Just referred my family to him after leaving.

My 1st appointment scheduled through zocdoc was cancelled without notification. The receptionist was happy to reschedule me for the next week.My aplointment went as expected, was sent for an MRI to clarify what issues I was having. I had some issues getting in contact with the office to schedule my follow up appointment after getting an MRI. Once I was able to schedule a return visit, Dr Unis was thorough in explaining what he found on the MRI. However, he felt the issues I had did not seem treatment at this time. So I left the office feeling somewhat shortchanged.

This was my first visit to an orthopedist. However, any apprehesions I might have had, about hip replacement surgery, were quickly removed by Dr. Unis' professionalism and calming assurance that everything will work out. Can't wait for the surgery and the start of a new life without pain.

I thought that Dr. Unis was a great doctor, and the office staff were incredibly kind during my appointment, BUT it is almost impossible to reach anyone from the office by phone. I was told that someone would call me back regarding an MRI authorization, and it's been almost month since my appointment without a call back (and I've reached out twice to the office, spoke with multiple people, and assured I'd receive a call back during my last call over 10 days ago). I understand that the office is busy, but it's unacceptable to wait this long for a call that I was told I'd receive within a week.

Had X-Rays done in the same office, technicians extremely efficient and fast.
Even got a cortisone shot as well which was fantastic to have everything done all at once.
The office staff was excellent and friendly.

His office manager is totally incompetent. She actually began to yell at me when I was in excruciating pain because I made her do her job.
When it was shown that I had a herniated disk his office would have made me wait for two weeks before seeing a spine specialist.
This was totally unacceptable. I got in to see a spine specialist by using Zocdoc.
