“After Dr. Woo introduced himself (my first visit), he evaluated my legs conditions. After explanations, he introduced me to his associate, Dr. Kiguchi, who handles the problems I am having with the veins in my lower legs. I left the office with great relief after a complete assessment by her! I will see Dr. Kiguchi again at her Chevy Chase office, where I will receive an ultrasound. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY TREATMENT FROM THESE TWO COMPETENT DOCTORS!!!”

I am frankly disappointed with the medical profession in general after my experiences over the last year trying to figure out why I have bilateral swelling/bulging above my collar bone in my neck area that at times make feel dizzy. I bought my medical records from kaiser. Nurse practitioner takes my pulse, quickly scans my records-she is nice enough. Says I understand why you want to have this look at(the bulging is quite evident). She asks a few more questions and then says she will bring doctor in. He comes in looks at my neck and says, yes I see. Then they feel my pulse and say well, everything sounds clear. Don't hear real blockage. Doctor feels the bulges in my neck and says-this is not vascular. think this is tissue. But I say it comes and goes and my juglar bulges and head feels like pressured. This has been happening for over a year. ()NP says what is your concern? (Now if any of you reading this,,, saw my neck ,,,or if you had this on your neck..you would understand..not to mention what it looks like..but i digress...)..I said that my brother has early onset Alzheimers or vascular dementia --I am worried as I think this might be effecting blood flow to my brain,,,and it is also uncomfortable...... NP says does it effect your breathing? No...just makes me feel dizzy sometimes...NP says... based on what I heard in your veins their is no issue....Doctor looks at me and says...Well this is not vascular, you should see an Ear, Nose, Throat, Specialist-I say that is who sent me here. Your colleague Dr. Choi referred me, who said you were great. Oh.. Well, Sorry I can't help you. I am a specialist. Maybe it is Limpoma. Good luck. Then they leave room. That was the appointment I waited for 1 1/2 months... If you read his description on Medstar site-you think wow-he has done so much and surely he has seen it all and can figure this issue out... My car mechanic is 10 times more helpful and worth the money. Where is the desire to help others or figure something out? As a note, I heard an entire conversation that I should not have heard in the next room while waiting for the doctor to see me. The walls are paper thin. What I heard in that appointment was also the same horrible bedside manner. And that person was dealing with an Aneurysm..I can't wait to see what I get charged for this visit when they send the bill. Somewhere along the line, Dr, Woo must have cared and wanted to do right by his patients. But I think he has lost his way in terms of listening to the patient and troubleshooting. I guess I was stupid to think veins, arteries, and lymphs don't relate or contribute to bilateral swelling in my neck. Not sure where to go for help with this next. But I can tell you one thing, it won't be him or Washington MedStar.

First rate!
I would highly recommend him to everyone!
I was referred to Dr. Woo for a second opinion which I told the person who came in before Dr. Woo. So when Dr. Woo came in, he said he didn't know my case and so in came the Doctor I had seen in the first place, so no second opinion. I am going with the first doctor and will not get another appointment with Dr. Woo.
