About Elizabeth Kirby
Elizabeth M. Kirby, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC joins the Division of General Internal Medicine as a Nurse Practitioner. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French at Bowdoin College, Brunswick in 2010 and earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing in 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC).
As a student, Elizabeth gained practical experience at Murray Brand Associates, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and South Philadelphia Pediatrics. More recently and since passing her boards, she was employed at the Family Health and Birth Center, here in Washington D.C., where she managed a panel of patients in the community health clinic.

Nurse Kirby was a great listener, very empathetic, a kind. She is very focused on preventative measures. She orders tests and makes appropriate referrals. I felt very comfortable talking to her about my health concerns.

Kirby is one of the best primary care doctors I’ve seen. She was on time, extremely friendly and attentive, and ordered scans as a precaution. So often in medical offices I feel rushed out and that the visit wasn’t prevention-oriented. This wasn’t the case. Highly reccommend.

I love GWMFA! They are prompt, friendly, and thorough. Ms. Kirby was knowledgeable and listened to all of my concerns. The follow up and follow through is phenomenal. She called me back the following day to discuss lab results and the departments from the two referrals she gave me called to schedule appointments before I even got a chance.

Nurse Kirby is knowledgeable in her work and makes your feel comfortable. You can tell she genuinely wants to get to know you and find ways to make sure you stay healthy, but at your own pace. She also provides great recommendations and gives you the tools to follow up with other doctors for particular issues. I highly recommend her!
