Nothing brings me more joy than connecting with my patients and helping them with their healthcare needs. I firmly believe that patient education is a key part of successful care. After nearly 2 decades of practice, I still love making a difference in the lives of my patients.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
Primary care providers are the keystone of medicine, serving as the connection between all specialties. We serve to not only diagnose and treat all aspects of healthcare needs, but also help to manage and organize the care given by all other providers.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am an Air Force veteran and military spouse. In addition to working in a clinical setting, I am also a college professor and am working to complete my PhD in Health Sciences. In my spare time, you can find me cheering on my kids at the lacrosse fields or at horse vaulting competitions.
