Dr. Evelyn Dennis, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, specializes in treating teen and adult mental health issues such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and depression. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and DNP from Walden University, one of the country’s most respected university programs. As a board-certified advanced psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I have a strong track record of building solid relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues. I bring high expertise in assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment across a variety of mental health conditions and throughout the lifespan.
As a certified psychiatrist and mental health nurse practitioner, I’ve worked with many people going through difficult times. Together, we’ll keep identifying and achieving healthy living patterns while addressing challenging areas of your life. Our primary goal is to figure out how to overcome obstacles so we can work collaboratively to help you become the person you want to be.
I have over 8 years of experience assisting people from diverse backgrounds and concerns. My approach is client-centered, with treatment goals based on a highly classified, supportive, and respectful relationship.

I feel that life sometimes presents issues best addressed by speaking with someone who can offer an objective and encouraging viewpoint. A session with me will be viewed as a collaboration, and I am devoted to collaborating with you in times of difficulty. I'm very interested in assisting you in growing and changing.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Could not prescribe medication I needed which is not a problem, but when the medication she could give me gave me side effects so bad I had to leave work. She told me she would give me a referral to an in person psychiatrist, along with an email for other referrals. I never got the email, and when I called the one number she did give me it was to another online therapy company which also
cannot prescribe me the medication I need.
Really glad my insurance covers all these appointments I would be through the roof if I paid for these appointments that literally did nothing and left me back where I started.
I don’t think she understood most of what I saying. Extremely poor communication.
