Dr. Evelyn Brito is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts. She completed her internship, residency, and fellowship at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, finishing her residency in 2021. Shortly after completing her training, Dr. Brito moved back to her home state of New Jersey. With almost six years of experience, she has a special interest in preventative care. Dr. Brito sees every patient as an individual and prefers to work collaboratively to tailor management or treatment plans that work best for them.

I’ve been a patient here for preventive care, but I’ve been disappointed with how my rising cholesterol has been managed. Over multiple years, my LDL continued to increase despite healthy lifestyle habits, yet the recommendations never evolved beyond generic diet and exercise advice.
I was seeking proactive prevention, not treatment after disease develops. I felt my concerns about long-term cardiovascular risk were minimized because my short-term risk is low. I would encourage the practice to take a more prevention-focused approach and incorporate modern risk markers (such as ApoB and Lp(a)) rather than waiting for patients to become symptomatic.

I saw Dr. Brito for the first time today and really liked her - she was helpful, non-judgmental, and patient. Her staff was also great. The only downside is the wait time was over an hour to be seen (even with an appt) and the office seemed pretty slammed with patients - that said, the front desk staff was very nice and organized so I think it there was just a backlog. This was my first time at this office so it remains to be seen if this was a one-off blip or if you should expect a long wait with every visit.
