About Dr. Gabrielle Sandler

Dr. Sandler received her medical degree from NYU Langone Medical Center, where she was awarded the Frederick C. Holden Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After graduation, Dr. Sandler remained at NYU to complete her Ob/Gyn residency, where she was selected as the Administrative Chief Resident and was awarded the Robert F. Porges Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research, and Patient Care. Dr. Sandler then joined NYU as a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor, during which time she was awarded the Gordon W. Douglas Faculty Teaching Award. Dr. Sandler is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Sandler works with a diverse range of patients and has expertise in high-risk obstetrics, adolescent and young adult gynecology, and family planning, infertility, and contraception.
Dr. Sandler has also worked with medically underserved patients at Bellevue Hospital. In 2013, she traveled to India to provide medical care to residents of remote villages. Dr. Sandler is also on the medical leadership team of Allara, a medical start-up company focusing on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Dr. Sandler received her B.A. from Emory University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Sandler lives in Greenpoint, and when she’s not practicing medicine, you can find her hiking, traveling, and exploring Brooklyn’s best restaurants.

Dr. Sandler is amazing! I was seen right away, had a 30 minute chat with her about my medical history (unheard of!) and the exam was quick & painless. She answered any & all questions I had. Her bedside manner is out of this world.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had such a wonderful appointment with Dr. Sandler that I find it important to leave a review. Dr. Sandler was extremely kind and personable. She addressed each of my concerns with empathy and professionalism. Furthermore, I was a new patient who was treated incredibly well by the entire staff. Also, the office is beautiful and clean. Fantastic experience! I came in as a new patient because I was looking for a local provider, and Dr. Sandler really took the time to get to know me at the start of the visit and make sure I was comfortable. She carefully listened and asked about any current or prior conditions, life circumstances, all of my concerns, and the like. She very clearly explained her answers to all of my questions and concerns. All of the staff were also extremely kind, and the facilities were very clean, comfortable, and well-kept. I will definitely become a regular patient at this practice going forward.

I have written a lot of reviews on here, and I wish I could take them all back because Dr. Sandler is an absolute godsend. I have been seeing her for 6 months unexpectedly due to a serious UTI caused by Proteus mirabilis bacteria, which, due to the mishandling of antibiotics by other doctors, caused debilitating pain. Other gynos I saw refused to listen to how I felt because my test results and appearance were "normal". Dr. Sandler was my last resort, and my god, if I hadn't found her, I think I would still be suffering. She listens to every concern, responds to email, and inquires with such care and attention, & is just so lovely to speak to. She always, as she says, "has a trick up her sleeve" and thinks outside the box to help her patients feel better. I never thought I would see the day when I would trust a doctor 100%, let alone a gyno.TLDR: take it from someone who has gone through gynos the past 9 years like laundry- see Dr. Sandler. She will help you with ANYTHING you need!

This is my second time seeing Dr. Sandler. I thought she did a great job, has a wonderful bedside manner, and is very thorough. Both Dr. Sandler and the other staff at CHOB/GYN make you feel very comfortable and are inviting, which minimizes some of the stress of visiting the doctor. The facility is also clean and well organized which I personally always appreciate. All in all, I'm glad to have found Dr. Sandler, and I look forward to seeing her in the future.

I’m so happy I found Dr. Sandler! I’ll go to go to her as long as she’s in practice. I’ve never felt so listened to & validated by a healthcare provider. I was nervous, but she explained everything she was going to do in great detail, and gave me space to ask her questions every step of the way. I feel like she took all of my concerns seriously, and took all steps / testing necessary to help me figure my issues out. It’s so refreshing to not have to advocate so hard for yourself at a doctor’s office! Highly recommend!!

Blown away! Dr. Sandler is everything that is needed in a doctor. I felt beyond comfortable sharing my medical history and concerns. She is extremely personable, knowledgeable and comforting.
