About Dr. Gulam Khan
Dr. Gulam Khan is a gastroenterologist providing quality care and proudly serving the East Meadow, Hicksville Long Island, Brooklyn, Floral Park and Richmond Hill communities in New York.
Dr. Khan attended the Osmania Medical College, University of Health Sciences, graduating in 1982, and completed his Residency at the Maimonides Med Center. Dr. Khan is American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology certified. He is also a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.

This is the second time, I am seeing Dr. Khan who I feel was a blessing for me that I got the chance to see this noble and caring medical professional first time in my life. No doubt, there's a little bit more waiting time in his office. But trust me when this doctor sees your medical situation and looks at each and every number and word of your report whether blood test report or any kind of report related to your medical history makes you to determine that this is the perfect doctor you were looking for your health issue since very long. Besides, Dr. Khan his secretary/receptionist is a highly a caring professional and takes care of patients very kindly and respectfully. She is very humble and helpful to the patients. Over all I will give excellent rating to Dr. Khan and his office crew and honestly recommend him to any patient who needs real help and treatment regarding their medical issue.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Gulam Khan. I was extremely impressed the way he treated me and asked questions about my health and my family medical history. He is a great humanitarian and medical professional who knows the real meaning of his noble profession. I will recommend this doctor to any one who needs real help with health issues. Dr. Khan was late to the appointment, so even though I was on time, I had to wait a while for him to see the other, backlogged patients that were scheduled before me.
When I finally saw him, I explained my concerns to him and he didn't really indicate that he was listening to my individual concerns and experience. He ordered tests for me to complete and then also tried to pressure me into getting a colonoscopy the day after next and then acted like I was unreasonable for not wanting to jump into such a severe procedure without establishing a definitive medical need.
In addition to this, I had to call his office weeks after my tests to get the results emailed to me and the one pager that he handed me about colonoscopy prep was riddled with typos and grammatical errors (I opted out of getting the colonoscopy).

I met with Dr. Khan about 3 times, and I was happy to have him as my doctor. I first saw him because I wanted some tests done due to a possible gluten issue. While he was doing the tests, he discovered something much scarier. He helped me to schedule all of my followup tests, and I was able to talk to him whenever I needed to. Dr. Khan even explained my test results to me in a way I could understand, with helped ease my nerves. In the end everything worked out, and I’m thankful to be healthy.

The doctor by himself is humble , very nice in a way that he explains very well about whats going on with you and my mom finally likes a doctor who listens and explains . I gues thats exctly what we want , doctors to listen to us even if their is something else going on , he treats every patient very dearly, the only downside i would say is waiting time. More then an hour of wait time is very typical but its worth it for my mom as she Atleast leaves satisfied after her all questions answered. Also, he onlt sits in the office once a week every week on friday so its crowded mostly.
