Dr. Hirokazu Ban is a board-certified primary care physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in both the United States and Japan. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Ban also spent several years at the prestigious Kameda Medical Center in Japan. In addition to his practice as a general internist, Dr. Ban is particularly interested in providing specialized care for travel medicine, HIV/AIDS, and immunocompromised patients. Dr. Ban is fluent in both Japanese and English and is well-versed in the medical systems and guidelines in both countries. Please note: we have a 50$ no-show fee.

The Dr. is so kind and patient he listened to all my concerns and did thorough testing. The office was super clean and spacious . The front desk staff was nice , especially the nurse who takes your vitals. everyone was pleasant. And most importantly the level of care was excellent. I will switch to him as my primary care doctor. You don't find drs that take their time with patients and he did.

As an English speaking patient, communication was challenging. After 40 minutes into the appointment, I was told his other patients had been waiting for 30 minutes, meaning he had allocated 5-10 minutes for my appointment.

Terrible bedside manner! I was a new patient brought all my medical records and he wanted to challenge all of my medications and prior diagnoses without having knowledge of my medical conditions.

Did not feel listened to, felt ignored. He decided what he thought was the cause of my ailment after about a few minutes and would not change his diagnosis. His opinion is contradictory to what I have heard from multiple other doctors so the appointment felt like a waste of time and money. Other then that his bed side manner was acceptable.
