About Dr. Jack Flyer

Dr. Jack Flyer is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Flyer graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in New York. He earned his doctorate in medicine from Duke University in North Carolina, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Columbia University Executive Program in New York. After serving as an internal medicine resident at the New York Presbyterian Hospital at Cornell, Dr. Flyer was appointed the position of Chief Medical Resident at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. He went on complete cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at New York Presbyterian Hospital at Cornell. Dr. Flyer also served as a volunteer physician and health educator at Kenyatta Hospital and Homa Bay Clinic Network in Homa Bay, Kenya.
Dr. Flyer has been practicing cardiology since 1997. He specializes in interventional cardiology, the branch of cardiology that uses catheter-based technology to treat heart disorders. He also practices general cardiology, and has expertise in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine, teaching medical students cardiology. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Flyer served as the Vice Chairman of the American Heart Association Gala Committee from 2008-2011.

Friendly nurses and staff, and everything was pretty fast. The main thing that surprises me is that Dr. Flyer actually responds to email! He is the only doctor I've ever had who is available in this way. After a quick email exchange, I realized I needed to schedule a follow-up appointment. It was so much quicker and better than the usual "phone tag" that happens with doctors' offices.

Dr. Flyer and the rest of the staff (reception, nurses, and technicians) at CardioCare are absolutely top notch. I never have to wait more than a few minutes after I arrive for my appointment and everyone is very friendly and professional. While their Chevy Chase office is over an hour away from where I live in NoVA, it's definitely worth the drive.
