Dr. Isakova received her undergraduate degree from St. John's University in Queens, and received her Doctorate of Optometry from SUNY State College of Optometry. Dr. Isakova completed an externship in pediatric and adolescent eye care, and examines children of all ages. She also specializes in hard to fit soft and hard contact lenses/gas permeable contacts.

I had a pleasant first experience.
PROS::
(1) the facility was clean, spacious, and filled with plenty of sunlight. (2) the receptionist and optometrist are exceptionally friendly (3) the optometrist thoroughly explained the results, along with images.
CONS:
(1) it was mildly busy, I wasn’t seen until 30 mins after filling out paperwork. (2) When I asked the optician at the front desk if I can have my PD (pupillary distance) measured, she refused unless I pay a charge of $15. I get that they’re competing with online retailers, however that seems quite discourteous for a simple measurement when some retailers do it complementary. No thank you!

It is really hard to find a doctor in this specialty who treats very young children. Two of my children came to her at 4 years old (after failing their vision exams in school) and she is wonderful. She's so patient and sweet with kids and obviously really good at what she's doing because she's able to figure out their prescription and get them to cooperate for eye drops/tests, etc. I've always appreciated how personable and nice she is.. as well as efficient. I will always bring my kids here to her despite having closer providers and cheaper parking near me in my own neighborhood lol. She's lovely.
