Dr. Beaton is very competent and professional, but extremely focused on nutrition and diet and talked about it for essentially the entire appointment. I felt like I was at a nutritionist.

I think overall the experience was good. She did sound a bit robotic, she only looked up from her computer a couple of times. Did not strike me as empathetic, but I would return because I only needed bloodwork done.

Do not see if you have struggled with an eating disorder. Dr. Beaton was strangely diet and food-obsessed, and made me do a particular exercise where you pointed to foods which were representative of your diet. Did not ask if I had a history of eating disorders ahead of time, and recommended restricting certain food types

Excellent care and very careful with COVID precautions. To minimize the amount of time spent face to face, the doctor called in for the first part of my appointment to go over all of my concerns and came in for the second half. Dr. Beaton was very kind and thorough. Can’t wait for my annual!

Dr. Beaton is extremely knowledgable and competent, and I will keep seeing her because of that. However, I do hope she works on listening more to patients and showing more empathy. I value people who are direct and decisive, but that should come only after thoroughly listening to the patient. There have been multiple times that she's cut me off or made me feel like I was stupid or being ridiculous when I was trying to tell her what my symptoms were. I don't need a doctor to be my best friend or a therapist, but I do need a doctor to really listen to me and not make assumptions. Overall, I would recommend her because I truly believe she is a good doctor. If she could develop a better bedside manner, I would give a 5/5.

Dr. Beaton was excellent. She listened and took my concerns seriously. She thoroughly and thoughtfully examined me based on my issues, and developed a clear action plan going forward. Her bedside manner was great, and I look forward to following up with her.
