He has been a Visiting Professor and lecturer in the U.S., China, Europe, Israel, Japan, South America, Russia, and the UAE. He holds patents or patents pending for over 250 inventions. Dr. Canady is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery (2000), recertified in 2008, 2020, and 2024, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is also certified by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. Dr. Canady earned his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by fellowships in Immunology and Transplant Surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is a Research Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Co-Director of the Plasma Medicine Program GWU/USMI at George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
