“Dr. Chao is the best surgeon I’ve ever come across. He is knowledgeable, empathetic and generous and it’s really hard to find doctors like that nowadays. I didn’t search long after finding him because I knew he was the one with the outstanding credentials he has. I just had a genioplasty and mandible reduction done with Dr. Chao almost two weeks ago and everything went perfect! I wasn’t scared for the surgery because I trusted him and his staff. The amount of unconditional help and love I received before and after my surgery at GW was amazing. Everyone there is outstandingly kind and it’s indeed, a direct reflection of his work. Not only were the staff nice at the hospital, but at his office as well. With every appointment I’ve had with Dr. Chao, I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to see him. With my surgery, there was absolutely no complications and everything went exactly as planned. I had a major surgery which is going to take months to heal from, and with the amazing work of Dr. Chao, I was able to stop taking my medicine less than a week after my surgery because the pain was minimal after a couple of days. I mean who knew that would be the case? Just amazing all around. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Chao because of his skilled work and mannerism. Thank you so much Dr. Chao for everything!!! You changed my life for the better and I really cannot thank you enough.”

Dr. Chao and his staff are amazing! I could not have had a more pleasant experience. I was able to check-in days prior to my appointment to avoid waiting. They screen for COVID-19 symptoms in the lobby to ensure everyone’s health and safety. The receptionists are friendly, and they ensure they are properly referring to you by the correct name and pronouns. Dr. Chao builds rapport before the physical exam, making sure his clients are comfortable with him first. He walks you through your surgery options, taking into consideration your expectations. He shows before and after pictures from past clients and answers any question you throw at him thoroughly and in plain English (instead of simply medical jargon as a lot of healthcare professionals do). I felt seen and as though my needs were anticipated. On top of everything, he takes insurance! I highly recommend him!

My visit with Dr. Chao went beyond my expectations. I chose Dr. Chao after a different doctor botched the removal of a lipoma on the back of my neck.
From the onset, during the initial consultation, I knew and felt that I was in good hands. Dr. Chao asked the right questions and listened intently for my responses in order to arrive at the right diagnosis.
I just had the lipoma removed today and it was the best experience one can get from having a surgical procedure. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Chao and his team for their skills, professionalism and courtesy during this process.

I saw Dr. Chao for a consultation for top surgery. My experience with the consultation was great, and I've decided to go with him as my choice of surgeon. He was knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and asked questions about my personal life and health history that made me feel like he wanted to get to know me as a patient. He was accommodating and asked exactly what my desired outcomes were (in terms of overall appearance, shape of scars, etc), rather than assuming. The entire office staff was friendly and welcoming, as was the office as a whole. Would definitely recommend!
