About Dr. Jing Xu
Dr. Xu was born in Nanjing and she graduated from Southeast University Medical College (previously named Nanjing Railway Medical College) in 2003, following which she pursued her master’s degree in Pathology at Peking Union Medical College from 2003 to 2006. In 2010, she received her 2nd master’s degree from Rutgers/UMDNJ joint program, NJ in Cell and Developmental Biology. Her research project at Rutgers University involved developing an artificial skin to treat diabetic foot ulcers. After graduation, she worked in Dendreon Cooperation as bench scientist performing quality control bioassays for the world’s 1st FDA-approved cancer immunocellular therapy--Sipuleucel-T. In 2017 she completed her internal medicine residency training in Brookdale University Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and she became board-certified in Internal Medicine in the same year. From 2017 to 2019, she worked in Stony Brook University Hospital as general internist/hospitalist. Over there she had extensive exposure to a broad spectrum of different diseases which makes her very confident to serve the Chinese community better. She published several peer-reviewed research papers and case report during her graduate school and residency.

The doctor is excellent but they overbook so the wait times are long. Be prepared to wait 2-3 hours or even longer, even if you arrive to your appointment early or on time. If you need a Chinese-speaking doctor and you're willing to wait she is a good doctor and the staff are nice but I suggest finding somewhere that can actually see you efficiently.

I waited over two hours. I got there early to fill out paperwork. Kind staff. Office a bit cluttered. Weight was taken in waiting room (super uncomfortable). I could only do the first half of intake because I had to race home in a cab to pick up my kids.
I wanted to work with them but my time is not flexible by two hours

I booked my appointment online and filled forms online. when I arrived the doctor office, I just need to provide my ID card and insurabce card. I waited about 10 minutes, the doctor's assistant started to exam me and did an electrocardiogram. Then doctor Xu asked more questions about my health. She askeds her assistant to get my blood for tests. Doctor Xu is an excellent doctor.
