Joan Asafo-Agyei, FNP, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in family medicine. She earned her Master’s in Family Health Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and brings over 18 years of healthcare experience. Joan is committed to providing excellent yet affordable care using evidence-based practice.
An avid listener, Joan shows a keen interest in all her patients. Through health education and promotion, she empowers them to take control of their health.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Joan offers a wide range of services to patients of all ages and genders. Her services include, but are not limited to, physicals, immunizations, acute and chronic illness management, and weight management. She draws labs in-house to save time and prevent delays. When needed, she orders outpatient testing such as MRI, X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound, mammogram, and DEXA testing.

There was no wait when I arrived for my appointment. The nurse was phenomenal, very personable, a great listener, and made me feel completely comfortable. She listened carefully to all of my concerns and balanced both professional medical discussion and genuine, casual conversation. I would highly recommend her to my friends and family, and to anyone looking for a PCP. I will definitely be back. I truly feel like I’ve found a lifelong provider, not just a PCP. She is extremely thorough and caring.
