“My experience with Doctor Kelly was excellent!! She takes special interest in making sure her patients are as comfortable as possible during treatment.
Doctor Kelly removed a piece of glass from my foot. I asked about getting an injection to mask pain. In response, Dr Kelly advised me that an injection
would be much more uncomfortable than just proceeding with the procedure without the injection. She removed the small piece of glass from my foot in less than a minute, then checked to see if there were any fragments left over. I found Dr Kelly to be very personable and kind. Her office is immaculate and the staff is friendly and efficient. I found a podiatrist that I not only would return to, but would recommend without hesitation.”

About Dr. Kelly Lucas
Dr. Lucas graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She earned her medical degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed a three year Podiatric Medicine and Reconstructive Rear foot and Ankle Surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Cohen's Children's Medical Center and Northshore University Hospital. She also was trained in sports medicine, treating Fordham University athletic teams while in residency.
She has comprehensive training in elective, wound care, reconstructive and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle in both the adult and pediatric populations. She is currently board certified in foot surgery and board certified in reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Lucas is actively involved with training residents at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northshore University Hospital, and NYU-Winthrop University Hospital. In 2022 she was awarded Teacher of the Year at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Lucas has been awarded advanced ankle surgical licensure by the state of New York. This is a rarely attained privilege that is only bestowed upon a group of highly trained and thoroughly experienced foot and ankle surgeons.
