Dr. Z was very thorough and was great with explaining what different medications do and breaking down his diagnosis.

Made me feel at ease, attentive, funny, remembered details from my previous appointment, and listened intently
Excellent psychiatrist. Highly recommend. Great listener and very informative. Gave me exactly what I needed.
Terribly unprofessional and a pill pusher. If you are looking to get help, go to another doctor.

Great visit.

I had a pleasant and welcoming experience at Dr. Z's office. His receptionist Sonia was very warm and friendly which helped ease my anxiety initially going into the appointment. Dr. Z was knowledgeable, attentive and provided all the necessary information I needed to move forward in my plan of care.
Dr. Z was great in doing my intake and talking to me about my plan for future medication and maintenance. Wait time was ridiculous though, especially for an evening appointment. Had to wait 45 minutes to be seen.

Really long wait time
I had the best experience with Dr. Zinzuvadia. Aside from being very personable and kind, he had a fantastic bedside manner, was extremely thorough, and really listened to me. Sonia at the front desk was also very helpful. I was seen right away. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Z.

He was patient and he seemed to take the information I gave him seriously. He even changed the drug he initially wanted to give me based on my input that I did not want to gain weight. I would, and will, happily see him again.
I think I could have found someone better than him. He didn’t ask any questions it was me who wanted to tell him everything. I thought he would ask questions and would try to understand what I was going through.
Dr. Z was great. He was attentive, engaging, and has a very comforting and professional presence. His receptionist is a sweetheart who chatted and laughed with me before my first visit, making me feel very relaxed and welcome. The office is lovely and clean. During my time with Dr. Z he took his time to really listen and evaluate me. My prescriptions were ready immediately, and they have a very open and flexible schedule for follow-up appointments in as little time as a week-2 weeks away. I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Z, and I feel I have finally found a psych in the city that I am satisfied with.

Dr. Zinzuvadia was extremely kind, efficient and knowledgeable. It was my first time meeting with him and felt he took the time to get to know me and understand my concerns. He was very informative about what he was prescribing and why. I had to rush back to work and he was respectful of my time. I highly recommend him as a psychiatrist! His secretary is also very kind and helpful.
Good experience overall
Loved my time with Dr.Zinzuvadia and feel I got a lot out of it. Also the receptionist is AWESOME! She's so friendly, and helpful!!!
Waited over 45 minutes for my appointment. Absolute worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. The receptionist loudly yelled across the room about what prescription I was coming in for. I went in to see the doctor and he read the stats of another patient because he brought in someone else’s file. I told him I was trying to cut back on my ADD medication and he berated me telling me I needed to take MORE meds and tried to convince me to switch to another mediation (that he had posters of all over his office so was basically being paid to push). He argued with me when I said I didn’t want to (I only went to him because my dr was away for a month) and wouldn’t give me my full prescription and said I would have to come back in a two weeks, likely so he could get an additional payment. He is unprofessional and incredibly rude.
This is one of the most unprofessional doctors that I have ever seen in my life. Back in October of 2017 I was attacked in Chelsea, NY and am still suffering from PTSD. I was originally seeing a psychologist and while she was very nice I felt that I needed to make an appointment with a psychiatrist who actually treats PTSD. I thought that Doctor Z. would be a great fit but BOY WAS I WRONG. Not only did he dismiss my incident and feelings of anxiety, dealing with every day life and the fear or going back to work; he quickly decided to prescribe meds for me after 15 mins of speaking. The receptionist however, was very sweet and the wait time was fine however I will NEVER return back to this doctor again.

So glad that I went to see Dr. Z after years of receiving psychiatric treatment from primary care doctors. I know that even if my new medicine doesn't work out, I will be able to get support through follow-up.
I was at a very low point by the time I had my first visit with Dr. Z. Sonia made me feel extremely comfortable the second I walked it, and Dr. Z was so nice that I am actually looking forward to going back.

Good doctor, but not for the long term.
I've been seeing Dr. Z since March and making the appointment was one of my best decisions of 2016, I originally made an appointment through ZocDoc, but needed to see him earlier. His office squeezed me in that same day because they knew it was urgent. I immediately felt at ease and that i was in good hands. He is easy to speak to and takes a really rational approach to his practice. His wife works with him and is so nice and really easy to talk while you wait. Would recommend to anyone!
Dr. Z was very kind and takes the time to see his patients. Though there was a little wait before seeing him, he did not seem rushed or hurried.
He was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable, along with he rest of his family who also run the practice. He listened to my symptoms and we talked through the causes and he worked with me to provide a correct solution.
He was able to ask me the right questions that didn't put me on the defensive or make me angry, yet helped me address my issues. His technique and tact are on point.
Only available on the weekends since the other office is in Whiteplains, Dr Z is nice, but can be a bit brisk with sessions? I prefer someone who asks a few more questions to explore my behavior to enhance treatment. Also the secretary is a bit overwhelmed it seems.
Very frustrating experience. He just pushes prescriptions. He doesn't talk with you much at all. Each appointment is roughly 3-5 minutes in length. Almost no discussion of underlying issues. Each appointment is just an excuse to give you more meds. The prescriptions are for 2 weeks at a time, so you have to keep going back. It's a hassle to go to the doctor 2x a month, especially when there's no real therapy, it's just that you have to stop by to pick up another two-week prescription. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone ever.
straight to the point. no nonsense doc.
Proper and thorough psychiatry treatment is expensive and is very sad that not everyone can have access to it. This Doctor even though he accepts insurances, it doesn't mean that you'll receive the adequate treatment you need to improve any condition. He basically sees around 5 patients in 30minutes . That right there tells you he is not getting a proper gathering of information. He forgets important details and sometimes you feel that he is not concentrating on what he is doing. He just want to discharge you and go to the next. He just prescribes but does not do any psychotherapy. He doesn't even offer it. Which in my opinion is one of the most important part of a psychiatric treatment. I come from a family entirely of physicians. Sadly they don't live in NYC. But I grew watching a true devotion for the profession and their patients. As incredible humans they are they are also even though they practice in different specialties they have a great all round knowledge of the human health and pharmacology. Which with this doctor I have my doubts. He was surprised to know that you can get the flu even if you have being vaccinated. I recommend this doctor for a temporary thing. If you need to get a prescription until you find someone better that can actually make you improve. If you don't have the money I suggest to keep searching , they are still doctors out there(few) truly compassionate and devoted to their professions. I most say that his son who works with him (doesn't take insurance ) was very nice, he was the one who called the pharmacy to resolve some problems that I encounter.
Doctor Zinzuvadia was nice and straight forward. I got an appointment at the very end of the day and we spent a little time discussing my issue.
despite what a particular previous review says - this doctor has NEVER pushed any medicines on me. quite the contrary, he's very understanding of the course of treatment you need/want to take. i'm always seen right away. has a friendly secretary to greet patients. wonderful doctor to work with.
Completely trust him. Very good doctor.
Awesome guy.
Pushed highly addictive medication on me even after I told him that I am someone who doesn't like to take medication period. I feel scarred by my experience at his office. I will never return. I am honestly surprised he hasn't been reported.
Great experience!
Excellent
It was very helpfull doctor was so understanding and the doctor was so profesionall. His office manager Soma was very nice and very helpfull with all my concerns.
