Getting to know Dr. Kwadwo Asamoah-Duodu

Dr. Kwadwo “David” Asamoah-Duodu, PsyD, is a compassionate Clinical Psychologist who offers a strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to care. With deep empathy and a collaborative spirit, he helps clients navigate challenges, heal from trauma, and move toward values-based living. David earned his Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University and completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, majoring in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. As a first-generation American of West African descent, David brings a nuanced understanding of identity, resilience, and cultural context to his therapeutic work. His early life experiences in the inner city—witnessing the effects of violence and addiction—sparked his calling to psychology and his commitment to supporting individuals and communities through meaningful mental health care. David believes therapy is a collaborative journey where clients are seen as the experts of their own lives. He creates a safe, inclusive space where open dialogue and individualized treatment lead to lasting growth and empowerment. With a focus on helping others reduce suffering and reclaim purpose, David sees therapy as a tool to foster change not only for individuals, but within families and communities. He integrates evidence-based techniques with compassionate insight, always honoring each client’s unique story and strengths. Outside of his clinical work, David enjoys reading, writing, volunteering, and spending time with his family. Grounded in his Christian faith, he views his work as part of a greater purpose to serve and uplift others.

Nothing against this provider because we never met or connected. For me it has been an awful experience because of Zocdoc. No information whatsoever was provided and I wasted 1.5 hours calling the office number which was a dead loop - I had no idea how any business can survive with this kind of set up. You are insulting me as a customer!
