Getting to know Dr. Landon Coleman

With 21 years of military service, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of diverse experiences and trauma. I hold a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, El Paso. I specialize in medication management, recognizing the crucial role psychotropics play in enhancing therapeutic outcomes. I am committed to a collaborative approach that effectively leverages medication management, supports evidence-based psychotherapy, and ensures treatment is both effective and tailored to each client's unique needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Deeply influenced by my faith in Jesus Christ, my approach to psychiatric care emphasizes empathy, respect, resilience, and compassion. Growing up in a challenging dysfunctional family environment shaped my commitment to offering love and non-judgmental support. I ensure each client feels valued, understood, and heard to create a healing and inclusive therapeutic environment that respects and honors each individual's journey and diverse beliefs and experiences. Without guidance, people fail; with many counselors, there is victory. Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a good word makes it glad. (Proverbs 11:14, 12:25)
