About Dr. Lauren Schulz
Lauren B. Schulz, DO, FACOS is a board-certified urologist, surgeon, and proud native New Yorker practicing in New York City. As one of the few female urologists worldwide—and the first to join New York Health—Dr. Schulz delivers innovative, compassionate care tailored to both men and women.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Schulz specializes in sexual health, minimally invasive no-scalpel vasectomies, urinary incontinence (including single-incision slings and bulking agents), overactive bladder management with advanced techniques such as Botox therapy and sacral neuromodulation, pelvic floor disorders, and the prevention and management of urinary tract infections. She also provides expert care in kidney stone management, advanced prostate treatments for BPH, and urologic oncology, with a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for her patients and addressing women’s unique urological needs.
Dr. Schulz earned her medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also completed a Master of Science and a Pre-Doctoral Academic Medicine Fellowship. Her training at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia was supplemented with specialized experiences at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Urologic Oncology) and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her focused training in urogynecology further enhances her expertise in women’s urological health.
A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Dr. Schulz is an active member of numerous professional organizations and has presented research at national conferences. She is an attending urologist at Lenox Hill Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Schulz is a dedicated mother and wife who is actively involved in volunteer work at her children’s schools and in the community. She enjoys exercising, playing tennis, and is part of a baseball-loving family
