I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP-BC) with over 15 years of healthcare experience. I hold a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the Silberman School of Social Work. I specialize in psychiatric care, including psychiatric assessments, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and addiction medicine. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse clinical settings such as outpatient psychiatry, inpatient behavioral health, telehealth, and addiction medicine, which has allowed me to provide holistic, personalized care.
Additionally, my background in complex care management, developed through years of practice in acute cardiac units and home care, gives me a unique perspective on the connection between physical and mental health. I am dedicated to creating a supportive, patient-centered environment where clients feel heard and empowered to achieve their mental health goals. I had my first session with Ms Shallow, and I already feel a huge sense of relief. She is incredibly caring, punctual, and wise—able to understand and assess situations with a bird’s-eye view. I felt truly heard and supported throughout the session. She offered practical tools and advice that immediately helped me feel lighter, like I could finally breathe again. I left the session feeling clearer and more hopeful. I’m so grateful I found her.

We had a terrible experience, more so with the practice than specifically with Lois. They canceled our appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time. Then offered a different day and time but miscommunication when it was scheduled for. Since we didn’t know the correct day/time, they charged us for a no-show and were only willing to waive the fee if we waited over a week to see a different provider than who we originally scheduled with.
Terrible customer service especially considering the line of work they are in. Totally unwilling to accept responsibility for their errors. And complete disregard for the mental health and wellbeing of patients under their care. Please look elsewhere if you possibly can!
