About Dr. Manuel Compas
Dr. Manuel Compas didn’t grow up planning to become a chiropractor. He discovered chiropractic the way many of his patients do — through injury.
As a high school football player, he suffered a neck sprain while attempting a head-on tackle. Referred for care, he walked into the chiropractor’s office unsure of what to expect and honestly nervous. He didn’t fully understand what a chiropractor did — only that he needed help getting back on the field.
After a thorough examination, the chiropractor asked him a simple but pivotal question:
“What do you want to do for the rest of your life?”
At the time, Dr. Compas had two goals — play professional football, or become a physical therapist working with athletes. The chiropractor smiled and offered a third option: chiropractic.
As he explained that chiropractors are spine specialists trained in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries — and that he himself served as a chiropractor for the Canadian Olympic Team — something clicked. Dr. Compas realized there was a path that combined performance, rehabilitation, biomechanics, and hands-on care.
That moment changed everything.
Dr. Compas went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeast College of Health Sciences, where he received advanced training in spinal biomechanics, neuromusculoskeletal diagnosis, and evidence-based rehabilitation.
Today, he blends clinical precision with the mindset of an athlete. His approach focuses not only on relieving pain, but restoring movement, optimizing performance, and helping patients return to what they love — stronger and more resilient than before.
He understands injury because he has lived it.
And he built his career around helping others overcome it.
