My career in healthcare began after graduating with my Bachelor of Science degree in 2010. I served as a community health nurse and witnessed an undeniable need to improve mental health within the community. During this time, I observed the lack of access and other barriers to care that were unavailable, which inspired me to pursue my master’s degree focusing on psychiatry and substance use.
In 2014, I began my studies at Hunter College, City University of New York Graduate School of Nursing in New York City, where I earned my Master’s in Nursing. From 2018 until the present, my experience has focused on conducting psychiatric assessments, providing holistic psychiatric interventions, psychopharmacology interventions, and psychotherapy. All practices are provided with care formulated by evidence-based practice.
My goal at Phases of Life Psychiatry is to bring awareness to the importance of maintaining mental wellness. This will be accomplished by breaking down barriers and removing stigmas associated with mental health and psychopharmacological interventions.
By improving the wellness of individuals, I hope to improve families and communities by providing optimum care through personalized interventions and education.
