What should a new client know about working with you?

After the 15-minute consultation/ introduction, you will be scheduled for a one-hour appointment where Dr. Elizabeth will get your health/ family history and current difficulties. Together, both of you will come up with a treatment plan. The goal of treatment is to reduce symptoms of mental illness and improve overall well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial visit is about 1 hour and I will take your medical and psychiatric history as well as family history. We will talk about your difficulties and mental health challenges and agree on a plan of treatment. The subsequent visits will be 30 minutes or 15 minutes based on the severity of the disorder and response to treatment. Initially, I might see you more frequently and would gradually extend the visits based on how you respond to treatment. Talk therapy is utilized in all my visits.
