“I had seen another sleep doctor and made an appointment with Dr. Rizzo because I wanted a second opinion. Dr. Rizzo was outstanding--she went through my sleep study results in detail, explaining how my results compared to normal ranges, whether or not my results were concerning, and why. I never felt rushed in our appointment--she took lots of time to give in-depth answers to my questions about treatment options and she discussed my health and lifestyle factors that could have an impact on my treatment (which my other doctor just ignored). I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Rizzo--I'm ging to continue seeing her, and would highly recommend her to others!”

About Dr. Meagan Rizzo

Meagan Rizzo, MD joined us in November 2023, bringing with her 20 years of experience as an Army physician specializing in sleep medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Dr. Rizzo further advanced her expertise with fellowships in Sleep Medicine and Nephrology at the Uniformed Services University. Most recently, Dr. Rizzo was the Chief of the Sleep Disorder Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where she served active duty members, retirees, and dependents of all ages. She also held the prestigious role of Specialty Consultant to the White House Medical Unit while at WRNMMC, serving as the sole sleep provider for senior government leaders. When she’s not working, Dr. Rizzo enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children. She has always been committed to fitness, and in her free time, you can find her in the pool, on a bike, or on the run. She has completed two half Ironman races and countless other triathlons.
