About Dr. Meera Ramakrishnan

Meera Ramakrishnan, MD, is a seasoned internal medicine hospitalist with over a decade of experience, serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She has been part of medical teams at Kaiser Permanente, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Rush University Medical Center, and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
Dr. Ramakrishnan earned her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, where she received a scholarship and excelled academically. She completed her internal medicine training at Rush University. Her commitment extends beyond clinical practice, with research involvement at Jacobi Hospital and Cornell University.
In addition to her medical expertise, Dr. Ramakrishnan volunteers with organizations such as RAINN and the American Cancer Society. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of the State of New York. She holds active medical licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and previously Illinois.
Beyond medicine, Meera enjoys travel, having explored 12 countries. She is an avid runner with several marathons completed, including NYC and Chicago. Her passion for music includes singing in religious groups and a cappella at Cornell, and she is a skilled cellist. She also participates intermittently in painting classes, creating a collection of unique artworks.

I will never recommend this office or provider to anyone. There is no direct phone number to reach the office—it took me 15 minutes just to find the location. I called the call center three times and was unable to speak with anyone who could help guide me to the destination. This experience was extremely unprofessional

I was charged for two visits to get a medication which I take daily and needed prior authorization from my insurance and she was not helpful and I'm still paying for my medication without insurance coverage. For the service that I didn't receive, I got charged twice.
I don't recommend her to anyone. She doesn't care about the patients just wants to reach the maximum visitation number each day, the only concern she has is making money. Not patient, not their time, not their money, not their health!!! Such a doctor!

I had a very good first experience with Dr. Ramakrishnan. I was there to establish new patient-doctor relationship and also get clearance for my surgery in December. The staff and Dr. Ramakrishnan made it very easy to transfer existing prescriptions, and setup follow-up blood-work and physical prior to my surgery, in quick time. Rescheduling, I would find out, is quite easy and done via the FMA portal. Highly recommend.

Dr. Ramakrishnan will be MY doctor for as long as she is a medical provider. She has very caring bedside manner, with a direct communication style. Great first visit. I felt welcomed, heard, and comfortable to ask my questions. Dr. Meera is a fellow tri-state areas person so we meshed well. The office was clean and bright, with a modern appeal. I waited like 5 minutes which is a lot better than most places. The ladies at the front desk were nice and welcoming as well. Glad I found her on here! If you’re looking for a great doctor in the Rockville area she’s worth the visit!

And they did a flu test and prescribed new drug and said you were taking wrong medication
I Don’t RECOMMEND HER AND MY INSURANCE WAS NOT COVERED AND i paid lot of money just for a visit to get into emergency later

I really liked the doctor. However the tech team sent me notification that my appointment was at a different location and a different time than my actual appointment. It was not the doctor's fault. She was great. Luckily I had driven myself to the incorrect appointment instead of my husband just dropping me off. Having driven , I was able to get to the correct appointment in time. Tech department should be more aware.
