She was acknowledged as the winner of the Keystone Symposia Travel Health Award and presented her master's research abstract. For the past three years, Mekdes has worked as an internal medicine Physician Assistant. This experience opened her eyes to the need for greater access to mental health care. With over a decade of experience and research in medicine, Mekdes is committed to utilizing her experience to provide comprehensive care to her patients. Mekdes specializes in Adult Psychiatry and Medication Management. Ms. Niguse has a strong interest in managing anxiety, depression, mood, and sleep disorders. As a working mom to two small kids, she understands the challenges women face and would like to empower women to focus on bettering their mental health.
