Melanie is a compassionate and dedicated family nurse practitioner with a strong background in emergency medicine, urgent care, and telemedicine. Melanie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her practice.
Originally from New York, Melanie holds Bachelors of Science in both Business and Nursing and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Pace University. After working as a registered nurse in the NICU and pediatric emergency department for several years, Melanie pursued advanced training as a nurse practitioner and has been caring for patients of all ages ever since. In addition to her traditional in-person practice, Melanie is also trained in telemedicine and is able to provide virtual care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
Melanie is passionate about staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in medicine and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.

To be honest, I didn't like how everything went. first, they kept me waiting for more than 30 min. once I call to check if I was in the correct waiting page or site the person in the phone was super rude and unclear, didn't want to listen to was I was asking and all her answers was straight with a bad attitude. Second, once they finally attended me or tried, the person on the other side was not the same who I had scheduled to see. the communication was so bad that they didn't try to call me back. I called them back after two attempts, and they just canceled my appointment cause I didn't have a computer at that moment, just my phone. So honestly, I give them 1 point cause I work in the health environment, and I never treat someone like that in my life.

I set my appointment for 12:15 in the afternoon and wasn't seen until about 45 minutes later. However, I understand you can't always decide how long appointments will last so I am not too perturbed from this.
I made the appointment because I recognized my symptoms, confirmed by an RN family member, as a bacterial infection. I just needed to get some antibiotics so I could attempt to clear it out as quickly as possible to avoid missing work.
The doctor denied that it was an infection and said it was too early to tell. I was prescribed basic medications comparable to what I could have provided myself.
Now, over a week later; I am still very sick, feel even worse, all of my symptoms have worsened, and I need to make another appointment, with another doctor, and another co-pay, for more prescription meds to hope they will help when I tried to get ahead of this to begin with but wasn't listened to. I felt like just a check in a box on the schedule.

She was so patient with me. She knew I had 2 issues. She understood why I wanted a female provider. I could speak openly about my UTI symptoms. She didn't judge me for mixing my prescriptions. and she was very reassuring regarding COVID. Sometimes you just want to talk to a medical professional to feel better as well as get their expertise. I think that's what I needed today. She didn't let me down

NP did not look to see if information she had was current. When I looked at her information it was over 5 years old. Barely asked any questions. She did not seem very thorough which made me question her diagnosis. I was very disappointed in my experience compared to other experiences I've had with Zoc Doc
