About Dr. Michael Hanson
Michael Hanson is dedicated to the overall health of his patients, and he views his chiropractic work as a way to enable his patients to achieve their health goals and a happy life. Dr. Hanson has been in practice since 1998, and has owned Hanson Chiropractic and Massage in Seattle since 2001. Dr. Hanson received his medical education from the University of Calgary and Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA. He continues to perpetuate his chiropractic education and has attended various progressive rehabilitation courses that include injury prevention, functional, and rehabilitation training for the cervical spine, TMJ, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, shoulder, foot, ankle, post-surgical rehab, and cardiovascular training. Dr. Hanson is a member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association Sports Council.
Dr. Hanson sees patients for chiropractic checkups and follow-ups, hip pain, wellness care, shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, stress, and neck pain. Dr. Hanson approaches his patients with an attitude of inclusivity, attempting to collaborate with their other healthcare professionals to provide his patients with care that is all-encompassing, rather than conflicting.

Dr Hansen is amazing. I previously saw him for a sports injury for my back and hip last year. He helped me recover in a short period of time through treatment. I had a lower back issues a year later and came in and he was so helpful. Highly recommend.

Dr H had a multifaceted approach - some PT exercises (where appropriate), we did light traction today, and an adjustment. He does not just adjust and send you in your way, he has a more long term perspective on prevention, not short term fix.

I suffered from lower back issue for over 10 years due to sports injuries. PT alone was not enough and I was taking NSAID's almost daily for the pain and flareups that occured. The team identified my issue IMMEDIATELY upon my first visit and after a month or two I had the mobility and strength slowly come back. For those who powerlift - its a 10/10 for me.

Dr. Hanson was great. I often feel like medical providers don't listen or are dismissive and that was absolutely not the case here. I went to a different chiropractor for two weeks prior to seeing Dr. Hanson with extreme lower back and hip pain and nerve pain radiating up and down my left leg and the chiropractor there essentially told me the pain was in my head. Then I saw Dr. Hanson and told him the same thing I told the previous doctor and he listened to me and believed me, and diagnosed me with a herniated disc. I am now receiving the appropriate treatment and feel affirmed. I absolutely recommend this provider and practice.

The receptionist especially makes this a great experience. Her kindness, friendliness, willingness to help, and charisma makes scheduling and office visits/check ins/outs very smooth. Dr. Hanson listens well and will provide recommendations as to what treatment other than just chiropractic work might help with your issue. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this practice.

Dr. Hanson genuinely cares about his patients and tries his best to work with his patient's needs. Front desk staff is fantastic, it feels like I am talking to an old friend when I go in. Everyone is friendly and helpful, especially if you have not been to a chiropractor before. The one thing I dislike is the roller table but that is more personal preference, as I have motion sickness. Everything that the staff can help is fantastic though. I cannot comment for the massage therapists as I do not see them, however, there is one that always makes remarks on what I look like whenever I come in and that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Needed an adjustment after a week-long hiking trip, not only did Dr. Hanson make himself available with little notice, but he took the time to understand and helped alleviate my discomfort. Could not begin to explain how appreciative I am of his services, communication, and staff.
