I was also easily able to reach the office ahead of time with questions and Dr. was transparent with me about challenges with reimbursement for travel vaccines even though insurance plans say they cover them.

I don't want to leave a bad review because I didn't see the doctor and the staff was friendly
The reason I didn't see the doctor is on Zocdoc.com, I've been searching for doctors that give the yellow fever vaccine for travel and when I find the doctors that accept my insurance and does the yellow fever vaccine, I book the appointment and when I get too the doctors office, they either don't give the yellow fever vaccine or you have to pay out of pocket. I wish the information about the doctors are clearer so we don't wait time going too the office.

I had a disappointing experience with this provider. When I arrived for my appointment, the specialist I was supposed to see was absent, and instead, I was seen by an MS, PA-C without any prior notice.
On top of that, they couldn’t bill my insurance directly and instead sent me a letter instructing me to handle the billing myself — essentially making me do their job.
To make matters worse, they refused to bill Medicaid despite being enrolled in the Medicaid program at this location. When I confronted them about this, they denied misleading me.

Heads up for in-network folks, Dr. Mikhail Khaitov's office makes you sign a waiver for them to avoid processing the claim directly with your insurance and thus you have to file the claim as an individual. Depending on the insurance provider, that could result in you not being qualified for in-network member rate when you have to file the claim as an individual. This was not advervisted prior to my office visit and my insurance company later told me this is not typical for in-network providers. Actual services provided were fine but would call ahead of time about if you will need to sign any waivers.

I saw Dr. Khaitov for an upcoming trip. Both him and Dr. Khaitova were very knowledgeable about travel medicine and I now feel comfortable going on my journey. They explained to me all the potential risks and they did their research ahead of my appointment which I much appreciated. Also, they were both warm and I felt as they truly cared about my wellbeing. The doctor I booked on doc doc was not there and they didn’t know when next he was going to be in. I was seen by two other people who were not the kind of doctor I was looking for. The visit was a waste of my time and of the doctor I wanted to see was not in, they should have let me know ahead of time.
