There was no long line of patients waiting to be checked in and be seen. So it was more like going to a clinic. Free Parking was readily available.
DR. Mohit Gupta is the same top notch urologist at Georgetown Medical Hospital. The one and the same. It was very knowledgeable and quickly showed me the CT Scan that was taken and what it meant to me. He advised me that I had nothing to immediately fear and that nothing needed to be done as long as I did not have pain or discomfort from the renal cyst.”

About Dr. Mohit Gupta
Dr. Mohit Gupta, MD, is a urologic oncologist and the Director of Clinical Research for the Department of Urology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Gupta’s expertise stems from years of specialized surgical experience in both complex open and minimally-invasive surgery for patients with cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, adrenals, and testes. He is a central member of an interdisciplinary team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other cancer specialists who are committed to providing collaborative and personalized care to every patient.
With numerous professional and academic accolades to his name, Dr. Gupta has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles, including multiple publications that have helped shape official guidelines published by the American Urologic Association (AUA). His research has been published in prestigious journals, including the Journal of Urology and European Urology. He is an active member of the AUA, European Association of Urology, and Society of Urologic Oncology. He is also a frequent and highly-sought presenter at national conferences and academic meetings.
Dr. Gupta, who is certified by the American Board of Urology, earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed both his internship and residency training in urology at the University of Florida. He further specialized his clinical skillset during a fellowship in urologic oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Outside of his busy practice, Dr. Gupta enjoys exploring the vibrant restaurant scene and cultural events of Washington, D.C. He also active at his local CrossFit gym and values spending time with his close friends and family.

It wasn’t the doctor, it was the system. I arrived early only to find the appointment had been canceled. I just received an email days before reminding me of the appointment. Now I am out of over $70 for Uber expenses for transportation that could have been avoided.

After waiting nearly two months for my appointment, and driving 45 minutes to his hospital office, I was told Dr Gupta was at his other office that day, even though I had (and showed the front desk aide) multiple phone messages directing me to this office on this day at this time. Nor did anyone call or email subsequently to explain/apologize. I don’t blame Dr Gupta, as this was a waste on his schedule as well. But I certainly won’t go back.

Dr. Gupta was a God-send. My mother experienced pain for months. Each Doctor prescribed antibiotics without further evaluation. Dr. Gupta immediately showed concern, immediately ordered a CT Scan, and went to work. Upon his quick discovery, he identified a lingering issue from a previous surgery nearly 30 years earlier. His ability to listen, decern, analyze, and take immediate action proved to be the most amazing experience ever. The overall experience for her and the family was absolutely phenomenal.
